Festive multicolored lights lined the streets like fireflies. Cat-eared men and women milled about stalls of goods while children only partly helped their parents. Their peasant like clothes showed that they weren't a very advanced people.
Paper lanterns were still being hung as Galilee and her men passed. They garnered strange looks from the cattish people. Some of the children tried to touch their unusual clothing. Moonsplinters: NaNoWriMo pg. I "Captain!" a man yelled, "cruisers at our five!" The captain strode over to the radar man's console, her swagger intact despite the danger, "How many?" "Three, Ma'am," he answered. "A transmission, Ma'am," a woman behind the captain reported, "it's from the cruisers behind us," "Very well," the captain looked up to the screen in the middle of the deck, "let the bastards speak." The communications woman nodded and began typing, "Yes, Ma'am," A picture fuzzed onto the holo-screen and cleared as the man it showed started to talk.
